Jaiku and Tumblr

I just joined two other Web 2.0 sites.  I guess I just enjoy trying these clever new ideas on the web these days.

Jaiku

Jaiku

Jaiku (www.jaiku.com)
Here is a cut from Jaiku’s FAQ page:

1. What is Jaiku?

Jaiku is a way to connect with friends by sharing short messages called Jaikus. You can create your own stream of Jaikus and follow your friends.

2. How does Jaiku work?

By joining Jaiku for free, you can start your own stream of Jaikus at yourname.jaiku.com. You can post new updates to your stream using the Web or your phone. Invite your friends to Jaiku so you start seeing each others’ latest updates. You can also add comments to the updates.

Tumblr (www.tumblr.com)

Tumblr

Tumblr

Here is a cut from Tumbr’s FAQ page:

What’s a tumblelog?

To make a simple analogy: If blogs are journals, tumblelogs are scrapbooks.

You can also look at tumblelogs as slightly more structured blogs that make it easier, faster, and more fun to post and share stuff you find or create.

You can find more information on Wikipedia.

What’s Tumblr?

Our pride and joy. And something we’re really excited about.  Tumblr is your friendly, free, and terrifically easy tool for creating tumblelogs.
